Councils with Social Care responsibility need to be sure that they and their partner agencies have full and effective access to the latest information about service users.
It’s no longer acceptable to rely on paper files or the ability of care workers to link together information from stand alone databases.
Fibonacci’s Total View is designed to enable any professional to see all service users’ records through one central point of access.
Typically the core of client information is in an MIS system, but there will be many other sources of information; and not just paper documents, faxes and emails. There will also be databases maintained by other departments and agencies that are not connected to the MIS. There may even be old databases that still contain important details.

Total View provides the systems and technology to give care workers and other agencies access to the information they need to do their job, and to conform to security and accountability requirements (such as the Caldicott principles):
- Client centred management of unstructured documents
- Combined chronology (including unstructured documents)
- Viewer for external client records (e.g. external databases)
- Permission based security controlling access to records
- Full and detailed audit of all database activity
- Detailed logging of all access to client records
Fibonacci is grateful to Newcastle City Council for their contribution to the design and development of Total View:
"We conducted extensive market research but were unable to find a client centred solution. Working closely with Fibonacci, we believe they have developed such a solution that gives practitioners what they need: a comprehensive client chronology pulled together from several line of business applications and it only requires one mouse click"
