| Fibonacci Language Translation |
Fibonacci's web applications are built using our own development technology. One significant feature is the facility for all text (e.g. labels, messages and help) to be managed by the system administrator and/or translated into other languages, without re-programming and without any technical knowledge.
There are two ways to manage text in a Fibonacci application. The first is using the FLT web application, in which you can select pages, data dictionary, system text and so on, and edit the values for any of the languages in operation.
The second method (Inline) is done directly from the pages of the target application. Run the application, follow simple instructions to start translation and you can edit values directly from the page you are viewing.
The FLT application is designed for larger scale translation projects, whereas the Inline method is intended for ad hoc changes to be made as and when words and phrases are found that have been missed or incorrectly translated.
The FLT application contains the tools required to set up new languages, without technical knowledge.
FLT is an optional item with all of Fibonacci's web-based application products.

| Security |
As you would expect, security is an important part of FLT, which has detailed access checks based on user ID, password and designated access rights.
Optionally, Fibonacci's Secure system can be used for added security.
|
| Partial Translation |
You don't have to translate completely to a language to make it available to users. The application will use the translated text where it is available and substitute the base language (e.g. English) where it is not.
This is also useful for translation of similar languages such as UK/US English, which are similar and so do not need full translation.
|
| Single Application |
Fibonacci applications can run in any number of languages at the same time. The same software is running for each user, but the application selects the text for the user's chosen language.
